Outcome achieved
In January and February 2018, the Hellenic Statistical Authority of Greece (HELSTAT) completed the Table 29-V Accrued-to-date Pension as per the Regulation 549/2013 (European System of Accounts 2010, Chapter 17) for the years 2016 and 2015. Those figures were transmitted to Eurostat which compiles the national accounts data for the European Union in its database. Those statistics are essential for decisions and evaluation at European level.
ILO's contribution to the outcome
The ILO provided the methodologies used to complete the Table 29 required by Eurostat. The ILO also assisted HELSTAT in producing the figures and reporting the results. This permitted the ILO to contribute to build the capacities of national counterparts from HELSTAT on the reporting of statistics on social protection.
