Outcome achieved

1)A single window service (Siap Kerja) started providing services in February 2022, which includes cash benefit, public employment services and re/upskilling programmes. This led to a strengthening of the administrative infrastructure for more efficient service delivery. 2)The Law No. 4/2023 on financial sector reforms was adopted in 2023. It stipulates policy orientations for the Government to regulate the reform of the old-age saving scheme (JHT, a defined-contribution scheme), revising the parameters for the JHT.

ILO's contribution to the outcome

1)ILO support included a feasibility study on administrations, operations and institutions, and provided recommendations. These analysis and recommendations were submitted and presented at a series of technical meetings with tripartite stakeholders. 2) The ILO conducted an actuarial study and provided recommendations. These results were submitted and presented for the Government to formulate not only a government regulation to implement the Law but also a long-term national development strategy.
