ILO's contribution to the outcome
The ILO provided technical advisory services and in particular, it assisted in the drafting of the provisions of the new unemployment insurance law. A Royal Decree will be issued by mid-December and the minister of Manpower announced that the implementation of the new scheme will commence in January 2016.
An actuarial valuation for the unemployment insurance scheme will be submitted to tripartite stakeholders at the beginning of December. An administrative report outlining the implementation issues of the proposed scheme will be submitted to tripartite stakeholders at the beginning of December and will be endorsed by tripartite stakeholders by Mid-December 2015.
