Senegal: A social protection benefit transformed our daily lives (Voices)

Astou Gningue is an informal street vendor who sells fruit and other items on a stand in Pikine, Senegal. She received an increased family social protection benefit from the Senegalese government with the support of the “Improving Synergies Between Social Protection and Public Finance Management” (SP&PFM) Programme, funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Labour Organization (ILO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and the Global Coalition for Social Protection Floors.
