Global Accelerator Workshop on integrated policies for extending social protection coverage and supporting the creation of decent jobs
Objectives
General Objective: To create awareness of the need for integrated policies and their contribution to accelerating job creation and the extension of social protection including in the framework of the Global Accelerator on Jobs and Social Protection with the objective to contribute to the achievement of the goals of the National Strategy for Transformation 2.
More specifically, the workshop aims at identifying
- priority areas and actions for accelerating job creation and social protection coverage under NST2 with a specific focus on (1) addressing informality, (2) creating decent jobs in agriculture, and (3) addressing specific needs of youth not in employment, education and training.
- mechanisms for the implementation and monitoring of the priority actions under the Global Accelerator in the framework of NST2
- a list of priority areas to be integrated in the roadmap development under the Global Accelerator.
